Camp...Day 2

The day began with each Family Group sharing breakfast together and a little Quiet Time. Today's Quiet Time focused on God and Prayer. The Quiet Times give the students the opportunity to think, read, write, and pray in silence. It helps them slow down from the noise and to make their faith... their own.

Next, on the list was Morning Worship. Brad spoke on theme of Prayer. This included the problems with prayer and how we can pray much more effectively. The students left worship to gather for Bible Study. During this time, each Family Group spent time discussing Prayer, which was followed by lunch together.

Everyone then met together on the beach for Recreation. The groups partnered up and competed in a kickball tourney. Congrats to those on the winning team: Tim, Carson, Taylor, Nate, Connor, Coulton, Trey, Keith, Leann, Bailey, Shelby, Alex, Julie, Catie, and Melody. The students then got the chance to free play. This included the sand, the Gulf, and the pools. The jelly fish were bad day, so most people stayed at the pool. We have had a few stings!

Following Recreation, each Family Group had a Prayer Gathering where students got to relate to God through writing. This is essentially a journal time. Everyone then cleaned up and we all gathered for dinner. Once dinner is over we moved into Evening Worship. Tonight, Aaron and Andrew once again did an incredible job. They led us through song and Word surrounding the theme of Salvation. The Family Group leaders had great discussions with the students in response to the message.

We capped the night off with more Late Nite. We played "Baseball Guess," "What is in the Bag," and "Chicken Pox." Of course we had to get the leaders to compete! They played a game called "Bubble Gum Stretch."

Brad was then able to make it to three condos to have one on ones with students to help them develop their faith.d It is at this time the students get personal attention to share about their faith, ask questions, and share prayer needs. Day two is down and looking forward to day three!
